EMLCA: Correction to Rules Adjustment

Hello all – When a representative of the EMLOA presented to our organization at the Coaches Clinic a few weeks ago, he described an adjustment to the “mercy rule.” However, the EMLOA was just informed that that change won’t go into effect until the 2026 season. That is: at any point at the start or after the start of the 4th period the clock will go to a running clock when one team has achieved a 12-goal lead.
