EMLCA – Post Schedules to MaxPreps

Hello EMLCA coaches: Your ADs are likely aware by now, but the MIAA tournament committee wants 2019 boys lacrosse Varsity schedules posted to MaxPreps. It’s likely your AD will do this for you (the Lexington AD is posting mine, for example), but you need to make sure it is accurate. And then cross-reference your Varsity and Sub-Varsity schedules with all outlets; especially check that your schedule on the referee site, arbitersports.com, is accurate.

Meanwhile, the list of games and coaches needed has really grown. If you no longer need to be on that list, let Dave Walsh know (golexlax@gmail.com). If you need games or scrimmages, see the list and try to connect with those coaches.

Only three weeks away!

EMLCA Clinic Thanks & Reminders

The EMLCA would like to thank the following people for the outstanding Coaches Clinic at Babson College:

  • Darrell Benson and Jim Carboneau for updating us on rules changes and adjustments for the upcoming season.
  • Rocky Batty and the players of the Babson College mens lacrosse program for demonstrating drills. Good luck to them in this Spring!
  • Sean Quirk for his excellent discussion with the coaches on character and culture. Good luck to the Boston Cannons in 2019!
  • Brian McLaughlin of Dover-Sherborn and Matt James of Melrose for sharing some of their favorite drills. Good luck to both of those programs this Spring!
  • SnapRaise and Atlantic Sportswear for sponsoring the event, and the MBYLL administration for connecting with us regarding their Coaches Education program.
Reminders:
– As MaxPreps will be the schedule repository the MIAA uses come tournament seeding time, please send your varsity schedules there.
– Send your varsity and sub-varsity schedules to your area referee assignor (contact your league rep if you’re unsure who that is)
– If you’re interested in helping with MBYLL’s coach training program, contact Kevin Barney: kjbbarney@gmail.com
– Check the list below for teams who still need games for 2019.
Thanks to all the coaches who showed up at Babson yesterday. A great kick-off to the 2019 season…good luck to all!
